Sermorelin
Sermorelin (GHRH 1-29)
Classic GHRH analog that prompts the pituitary's own GH release
How it works
Sermorelin is the bioactive 1-29 fragment of GHRH. It binds pituitary GHRH receptors to stimulate the natural, pulsatile release of growth hormone, preserving physiologic feedback rather than supplying GH directly.
What the research explores
In published research, Sermorelin has been studied in connection with the following. These describe findings reported in the literature — not approved uses, claims, or outcomes to expect.
- Stimulates endogenous, pulsatile GH release
- Studied for body composition and recovery markers
- Historically used in GH-deficiency diagnostics
- Preserves natural feedback regulation
- Often paired with a GHRP for synergy
Sermorelin was an approved agent (Geref) used both therapeutically and as a diagnostic test of pituitary GH reserve, giving it a well-documented profile.
Adverse events & gaps
Well-characterized. Injection-site reactions and flushing most commonly reported. Favorable history.
