AOD-9604

Anti-Obesity Drug 9604

Evolved fat-loss peptide, TGA-recognized safe

Research Status: Phase IIb clinical trials; GRAS status (Australia TGA) tyr-hGH177-191 Advanced Obesity Drug
Mechanism of Action

How it works

AOD-9604 stimulates fat breakdown and inhibits lipogenesis (fat creation) by mimicking the lipolytic activity of GH without interacting with the GH receptor. It activates beta-3 adrenergic receptors to enhance basal metabolic rate.

Areas of Research

What the research explores

In published research, AOD-9604 has been studied in connection with the following. These describe findings reported in the literature — not approved uses, claims, or outcomes to expect.

  • Stimulates lipolysis without metabolic side effects
  • Inhibits lipogenesis (preventing new fat synthesis)
  • Potential cartilage and bone regeneration properties
  • Does not affect blood glucose or insulin
  • Well-tolerated in Phase IIb clinical trials
  • Synergistic with other peptides for recomposition
