FOXO4-DRI

FOXO4-DRI (Senolytic Peptide)

Senolytic peptide designed to clear aged "zombie" cells

Research Status: Preclinical; foundational senolytic research FOXO4 D-Retro-Inverso Proxofim
Mechanism of Action

How it works

FOXO4-DRI is a stabilized (D-retro-inverso) peptide that blocks the FOXO4-p53 interaction inside senescent cells. Releasing p53 from sequestration is studied to selectively push these aged "zombie" cells into apoptosis while sparing healthy cells.

Areas of Research

What the research explores

In published research, FOXO4-DRI has been studied in connection with the following. These describe findings reported in the literature — not approved uses, claims, or outcomes to expect.

  • Targets senescent ("zombie") cells specifically
  • Studied for clearing accumulated aged cells
  • Investigated for tissue and fitness restoration in models
  • Protease-resistant D-retro-inverso design
  • Prominent senolytic research candidate
